A Mark of Excellence
The road to recovery following accident, illness or injury can be a long and isolated journey for our clients. They may lose the support of friends who don’t understand the physical, cognitive and psychological changes they have experienced. They may begin to rely on their families for help in areas they never thought they’d need it including care giving and financial support. As rehabilitation professionals, we may also find ourselves playing numerous different roles outside the realm of therapy including advocate, confidante, teacher, leader, and in some cases, friend. Upcoming Workshop: Conflict Resolution for the Rehabilitation Professional

JR Rehab Events
The start of a busy summer was kicked off Sunday, May 9, 2010 when JR Rehab once again participated in the Vancouver Sun Run. Our team of 14 didn’t break any records but were 13th overall in the Health/Medical team category. All were put to shame by the fast feet of JR Rehab Director and Occupational Therapist Ricardo Nuno, who was the first JR team member to cross the finish line, followed by Office Manager Sheryl Thompson and Rehabilitation Assistant Alice Yang. Many thanks to all our runners and walkers and see you in 2011! Read the full article (PDF).
