About Our Founder

Ricardo Nuno entered the rehabilitation field in 1992, working closely with Occupational Therapists as a Rehabilitation Assistant in a return-to-work clinic program. In 1996, he founded JR Rehab Services Inc. and also began his formal education as an Occupational Therapist. Practicing as an Occupational Therapist since 1999, Ricardo upholds the belief that regardless of physical, cognitive or emotional challenges, everyone has potential and can achieve daily successes with the support of an OT program.

In his recent years of practice, Ricardo has developed a strong reputation for designing effective and results-oriented rehabilitation programs and for being an innovative leader in utilizing and implementing the skills and services of trained Rehabilitation Assistants.

In addition to directing the overall business operations at JR Rehab Services Inc., Ricardo regularly leads seminars on "How to Effectively Use Rehabilitation Assistants in OT Practice". Ricardo is also a former instructor for Capilano College's Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program. Ricardo also guest lectures at the University of British Columbia School of Rehabilitation Sciences Occupational Therapy Masters Program.
