Katie Chesher

Katie Chesher is a Clinical Kinesiologist and Performance Specialist who provides movement
education and exercise therapy in Victoria, British Columbia.
In addition to offering one on one exercise therapy sessions, Katie advocates for the profession
of Kinesiology and represents the members of the BCAK (British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists) in her capacity as Director.

Katie was born and raised in Ontario spending a lot of her time playing soccer and hanging out in cottage country. She studied at Brock University in Ontario’s Niagara Region, upon graduation she moved to Europe for two years and can now no longer call football soccer. She has a unrequited love for musicals and does her best house-cleaning to a soundtrack of show tunes.

When not at work you will find her reading,napping, trying out new sports or planning an upcoming adventure.

Konrad Zielinski

Konrad enjoys working with the clients by prescribing specific exercise programs in the pursuit of helping them reach their goals, both small and large. He believes that rehabilitation programs should be unique and specialized to each individual in order for them to return to their daily activities. Konrad has volunteered with many physiotherapists, expanding knowledge of various injuries. Konrad has also gained experience with Work safe BC OR1  program and one on one client programs.

Leo Li

Leo has worked with  older adults with rehabilitation exercises at False Creek Independent Living and shadowed athletic therapists at Simon Fraser University sports medicine clinic to learn to assess, treat and rehab athletes.

Maia Gallant

Maia graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. As well, she obtained her Masters of Science in Global Health and Public Policy from the University of Edinburgh. Prior to joining the JR team in January 2017, Maia gained experience working in the active rehabilitation community, as well as helping clients reached their personal health and fitness goal through various contract positions. Her work has also included community health programs to engage older adults in their own physical activity and minimize isolation. When not working, Maia enjoys cooking, gardening, snowboarding, cycling, swimming and training for triathlons.

Nicole Law

Nicole graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science. She then completed her American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Physiologist Certification. Nicole’s previous experience encompassed assessment, exercise prescription and treatment. Nicole was responsible for delivering and supervising the active rehabilitation program for athletes and client returning to work. She enjoys making physical activity fun and engaging clients as well as educating people on correct body mechanics and movement patterns. She loves biking, rock climbing and soccer during her spare time.

Sunny Mann

KIN Team Lead

Prior to working with JR Rehab Services, Sunny has had experience in active rehab for soft tissue and orthopaedic injuries.  Sunny takes pride in aqua therapy and gym based exercise prescription and educating clients on muscular imbalances and goal setting.  He also has experience as a strength-based interventionist for children with fetal alcohol syndrome and volunteer experience with a social development program at Blue Jay Elementary School.  Sunny is a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do,  plays receiver in a touch-football league, and plays basketball and golf on a casual basis. He also enjoys keeping up with current events and the latest movies.

Tyler Willson

Tyler  graduated from UBC with a degree in Human Kinetics in 2008 and have been working as a kinesiologist for the past decade in several regions in BC. His experience encompasses gym/home based exercise programs, aquatherapy, ART (active release therapy), life skills training, cognitive retraining, office ergonomics, and return to work programs. Tyler has  a client centered approach and  prefer to tailor programs to an individual’s functional requirements in order to help them reach their goals. In his spare time he enjoys  baseball, resistance and endurance training, reading, hiking, camping, and keeping up with  hobby farm.
