Attend the 2012 FASE Course to learn practical clinical skills in the functional assessment of the spine and extremities and gain excellent knowledge and training that will be beneficial in a clinical or gym setting.
Areas covered include: musculoskeletal system, phases of healing, selective tissue tension testing, muscle strength grading, grading of ligament injuries, postural assessment and nonorganic testing.
Attend Part One (Spine) only or register for both weekends (Spine and Extremities) and receive 28 CE Credits! One CE Credit is earned per hour.

Part Two: Extremities – Saturday, November 24 and Sunday, November 25, 2012

Course Instructors:

Stacy Benmore, B.Sc., M.Sc. (PT), Registered Physiotherapist
Stacy graduated from McMaster University in 2004 and has been working as a physiotherapist in the Lower Mainland since then. She currently works in a private orthopaedic practice located in the Kerrisdale neighbourhood of Vancouver. In 2009 Stacy completed her Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy. She enjoys teaching clinicians; Stacy presented at the 2006 BCAK conference, and has worked as a teaching assistant with the physiotherapy program at UBC. She is also currently instructing in the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Vancouver Community College. Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Stacy worked as a practicing kinesiologist and sat on the BCAK Board of Directors as Treasurer from 2000-2002. Stacy’s clinical areas of interest are the shoulder and foot/ankle.

Erin Macri, B.Sc. (Kin), MPT
Erin completed her Kinesiology degree at Simon Fraser University in 1997 and her Physical Therapy degree at UBC in 2006. She has worked in fitness and rehabilitation for over 15 years, including spinal cord research at the University of Manitoba, and several years with CBI Health working in third party funded rehabilitation programs as well as private practice physiotherapy. After working in New Zealand last year, she has now returned to Canada and is working towards her research Masters / PhD in Experimental Medicine under Dr. Karim Khan at UBC. As a former executive member of the BCAK, she remains committed to the Kinesiology profession and is exceptionally passionate about the FASE course.
