Return to Work and Job Site Evaluation

When an individual’s health status changes and they can no longer carry out their job related responsibilities, an Occupational Therapist can help by performing comprehensive observations and evaluations to:

  • Design work simulation exercises to strengthen their abilities
  • Modify work duties
  • Teach alternative strategies
  • Adapt work related equipment
  • Change work environments
  • Educate the client and employer on how to reduce work-related injuries

OT’s work together with the client and their employer to develop a graduated return to work program that will help them achieve a sustainable return to work.
