Klaus Figueiredo

Type: Rehab Assistants & Kinesiologists

Klaus graduated with a Bachelor degree in Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2017. He joined the JR rehab team in February 2018. While attending UFV Klaus was also a varsity athlete with the Men’s Basketball Team. During his degree he was involved with the Stroke Recovery Group of Abbotsford as a volunteer and also spent time observing physiotherapy practice. Through school and his experiences, Klaus learned the power of exercise for recovery and maintaining physical health but also for developing important motor pathways that promote cognition. Klaus believes that with a proficient rehabilitation plan, not only can people recover from injury but also prevent injury by training mechanical function and cognition as it relates to exercise. Although Klaus enjoys playing basketball in his spare time, since he spent so many years participating in post secondary athletics, he now enjoys spending time with his friends doing various activities like hiking, snowboarding and also taking time to relax, preferably with a movie on the TV screen.
